Black Business Professional Network “Premiere Event” Scores a Success

Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all who attended the “Premiere Event” of the Black Business Professional Network on Thursday, October 19th.

The event, attended by approximately one-hundred guests, by all accounts, was an enormous success. The crowd was a diverse mix of business owners, community leaders, and professionals of all levels from staff to executive. They shared information, excellent food and drink and an inviting atmosphere (provided by event host and sponsor, Metro Coffee and Wine) and lingered long after the 8:00pm ending of the event to take advantage of the breezy evening on the Metro patio. Many commented on the opportunities for future business that came from the networking interactions. This is exactly what the Black Business Professional Network was established to do.

We were honored to have Mayor Fredd "Glossie" Atkins greet our guests. Thanks also to the various organizations from the broader community who joined us to show their support including The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, SCOPE (Sarasota County Openly Pursues Excellence), Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, The Newtown Redevelopment Office, West Coast Center for Human Development, The United Nations of America Association of Sarasota-Manatee, Trinity Christian Fellowship and Anexio,Inc., along with many guest who represented other companies and organizations throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Guests were greeted by the Advisory Board members of the Black Business Professional Network including Traci Hill-Femister, dreamBuilders, LLC., Melanie Thomas and Shavon Reed, Melecho Productions, Jackie Woods, ReMax Properties, Martin Taylor, Lionhead Productions. Advisory Board companies also sponsored the event along with Metro Cafe and Wine and Anexio, Inc., the BBPN website host and designer.

Again, thanks to all for coming out. We welcome your feedback on all our events. Comments can be sent to info@BlackBusinessPro.com. Let us know if we can use your comments on our webpage to let others know that the Black Business Professional Network is a community worth being a part of.

A full introduction to the Black Business Professional Network and its purpose was presented through a speech by DeWanda Smith-Soeder, Founder and President. Read more at www.BlackBusinessPro.com
