Holiday Book Sale

The Friends of the North Library are having a book sale to benefit the library. Hardcover books: .50 cents, Paperback books: 2 for .25 cents. There are also collectibles, classics, quality children's books and assorted media. The sale will run the following dates: Thursday, December 7, 10AM-8PM, Friday, December 8, 10AM-6PM, Saturday, December 9, 10AM-6PM. Volunteer Opportunity

Help moderate to low income families get cash back from their taxes. The Central Economic Development Center, Bradenton will institute a Volunteer Return Preparation Program this tax season. Free tax preparation will be offered through a group of volunteer tax preparers. Requirements are approximately twenty-four hours of training in early December on a tax software. Each volunteer will serve a three to four hour shift once a week from the end of January to the latter part of February (six weeks). Come out and make an economic difference in our community.
